SDVFR is aimed at light aircraft pilots, ultralight pilots, and flight simulator enthusiasts on computers. It is operational in metropolitan France and partially covers overseas territories.
It provides advanced navigation features and integrates all SIA documentation.
Among its functions, it allows for automatic drift and effective wind calculations, flight time with wind, as well as theoretical calculations for climbs and descents, and displays all available aeronautical charts by subscription.
The application also allows for the import and export of flight plans and tracks in GPX and PLN formats, as well as saving in PDF and printing, thus enhancing its many other features.
In-app purchases are mainly related to subscriptions for IGN OACI maps, Cartabossy, SIA, with prices ranging from €13.99 to €23.99 per year.

You can use VLSafe to regularly send your GPS position to the French Free Flight Federation (FFVL) during your flight. The SOS function allows you to alert the FFVL in case of urgent help needed.
After installation, VLSafe will ask you to scan your FFVL tracking key by visiting the site https://intranet.ffvl.fr/mon_tracker.
