Free 16-day global forecasts for wind, precipitation, air temperature, cloud cover, storm prediction (CAPE), waves and currents. Also allows in-app subscription to hi-resolution forecasts.

The ergonomics are also remarkable: target for obtaining weather data at one point, separate land/sea display, numerous customizable display settings. Possibility of displaying a meteogram (evolution of data over time at one point).

The Routing version at 38.99€, also rather intended for sailors, will be useful for land adventurers on expedition, to follow the forecasts at the GPS position all along a route.

Both versions allow the download of GRIB weather files with an Iridium GO! in direct connection.

This fast, intuitive, detailed and accurate application has gained the confidence of professional pilots, paragliders, skydivers, surfers, kiters, sailors, fishermen, storm chasers and weather geeks, as well as many government, military and rescue teams.

Windy offers you all the most widely used weather forecast models in the world: the global ECMWF and GFS models, as well as the local, NEMS, AROME and ICON (for Europe) and NAM (for the United States).

Wind, rain, temperature, pressure, waves or CAPE index, with Windy you have all the practical weather charts at your fingertips.

Global composite satellite views are created from NOAA, EUMETSAT and Himawari sources. The update frequency is 5 to 15 minutes depending on the area. Doppler radar covers a large part of Europe, America, Asia and Australia.

Windy is free but allows you to make "donations" in integrated purchases.
