USB-C Car Cradle

Important: aiShell case and mount sold separately. This Car Cradle fits on any RAM articulated arm in our catalogue. The arm itself can be mounted on a tube mount or suction cups. These items must be ordered separately.

- you own an aiShell 8, aiShell 10.9,  aiShell 11 or aiShell 12 waterproof case for iPad.

- you have a leisure or professional activity that requires you to use your iPad in difficult environments (humidity, dust, shocks, risks of falling, etc.). You want a solution that allows you to simultaneously attach your iPad to a wall or to the wall of a building site, or to the wall of an industrial vehicle, or to the wall of a building.

- you want a solution that allows you to attach your iPad and charge it at the same time in all weather conditions

This item consists of two separate components :

- a case-attached connector (Car Cradle USB-C Connector) allowing the charging contacts of the iPad to be deported to the outside of the waterproof case

- a plastic cradle to secure the waterproof case, avoiding any risk of falling. This cradle integrates a power supply via a reinforced cable, to be plugged into a suitable socket (USB-C socket)

The Car Cradle USB-C Connector is a plastic part that clips onto the base of the aiShell waterproof case, at the USB-C charging port.

It can be attached without screws by simply pushing it in, making sure that its two side tabs fit under the hinge of the waterproof case. To release it, simply press down on these tabs and pull gently.

The end cap contains a USB-C plug that plugs into the iPad's connector, and three gold contacts that allow the electrical contacts to be moved to the outside of the case.

The USB-C connector allows the charging power of this connector standard to be fully utilised, ensuring that the iPad is charged quickly and stays charged efficiently (provided you have a powerful USB-C source, such as our waterproof USB/USB-C sockets)

The Car Cradle is the part that holds the case in place. Made of black UV-resistant plastic, it allows the aiShell to be attached or detached instantly, with one hand.

It can be used in either landscape or portrait mode. The iPad is held securely at both ends, and a spring-loaded tab makes it easy to release.

The Car Cradle has a female connector with gold contacts at the cable entry point, and large holes prevent water from pooling. Regular flushing with clean water is still recommended.

The charging cable is reinforced and firmly attached to the bracket. The free end of the cable has a waterproof USB-C connector.
