Description of the aiShell Pro 13
The aiShell Pro 13 is a 100% waterproof and shock-resistant case manufactured by the German company Andres Industries. It is part of a long line of "rugged" protective cases developed by this manufacturer for all iPad models since 2010.
It consists of two rigid half-shells hinged on a stainless steel axis, opening like a book. Simply place the iPad Pro 13 inside, close the latches around the edges, and you’re done: your tablet is 100% protected! This proven system allows for repeated opening and closing without any wear or risk to the waterproofing.
On the front, the aiShell Pro 13 case features a high-end protective film that allows you to use the touchscreen fully with the same feel as the bare screen: sensitivity and transparency are perfectly preserved. This film ensures waterproof protection, but also provides additional mechanical protection against moderate impacts. It can be replaced if worn out.
Buttons located around the edge allow you to adjust the volume and press the iPad’s on/off button without removing it from its case. Four rubber pads on the underside provide highly effective slip resistance. In addition, two fold-out stands allow you to tilt the tablet slightly for more comfortable typing.
Spaced around the edges, accessory slots allow you to attach side rubber anti-slip pads—to prevent the tablet from sliding when placed on its edge—and a stylus holder (both of which are included). Other optional accessories can be attached, such as a side handle or the very useful sunshade.
Charging the aiShell Pro 13
At the bottom of the waterproof case, there is an opening that provides access to the iPad’s charging port. When not in use, this opening is covered by a captive cap (attached to the case).
There are 3 charging options:
- In a protected environment, you can use the original Apple cable (non-waterproof)
- For use in wet or dusty environments, we recommend using the aiShell USB-C waterproof cable provided by the manufacturer, which allows for safe charging even in conditions such as continuous rain.
- Also for use in wet environments, another solution provides both charging and secure mounting: the USB-C powered dock. This is the ultimate solution because it allows for complete freedom of movement with the iPad, while ensuring charging every time the iPad is placed back in the dock!
Mounting the aiShell Pro 13
Like its predecessors, the aiShell Pro 13 waterproof case is exceptionally well-designed when it comes to mounting options!
The main recommended mounting accessory is the aiShell 13 bracket, which allows you to attach or remove the iPad in a fraction of a second, using just one hand. This bracket can be mounted directly on a wall, although it is recommended to mount it on an articulated arm, allowing it to be oriented toward the user. You can do the same with the USB-C-powered bracket, with the added benefit of charging the iPad at the same time!
Additionally, the case features several inserts on the back panel for screwing on other accessories, such as a round plate, a rear handle, or a shoulder strap.
