The aiShell 8 is a 100% waterproof and shockproof case made by German manufacturer Andres Industries. It is part of a long line of "hardened" protections developed by this manufacturer for all iPad models since 2010.

It consists of 2 rigid half-shells hinged on a stainless steel axle, opening like a book. Simply place the iPad mini 6 in the case and close the latches around the edges and that's it: your tablet is 100% protected! This proven system allows repeated opening and closing, without any wear or risk to the waterproofing.

On the front, the aiShell 8 integrates a high-end protective film that allows you to fully use the touch screen with the same feeling as the bare screen: sensitivity and transparency are perfectly preserved. This film not only provides waterproof protection, but also offers additional mechanical protection against moderate shocks. It can be exchanged if worn.

Buttons on the periphery allow the volume level to be adjusted, and the iPad's on/off button to be operated without removing it from its protection. Accessory slots around the perimeter of the tablet allow for the fitting of rubber pads - to prevent the tablet from slipping when placed on its edge - and a pen holder, (included). Other optional accessories can be fitted, such as the side handle or the very useful sunshade for aiShell 8.

Four rubber pads on the underside provide a very effective anti-slip function. In addition, two fold-out feet allow the tablet to be tilted slightly for improved input comfort.

In the lower part of the waterproof case, there is an opening for access to the iPad's charging connector. When not in use, this opening is closed by a plug attached to the shell.

In a protected environment, it is possible to use the original cable provided by Apple. For an outdoor connection, it is recommended to use the waterproof USB-C cable provided by the manufacturer, allowing a use without risk under continuous rain.

Still for use in a wet environment, another solution provides both charging and attachment: the USB-C Car Cradle. This is the ultimate solution because it allows you to keep complete freedom of movement with the iPad, while providing recharge each time the iPad is reinstalled in the cradle!

Like its predecessors, the aiShell 8 waterproof case is particularly well thought out in terms of mounting!

The main recommended mounting accessory is the aiShell mini bracket, which allows the iPad to be attached/removed in a fraction of a second, and with one hand. This bracket can be mounted directly on a wall, but it is recommended that it be mounted on a hinged arm so that it can be oriented towards the user.

In addition, the case has several inserts on the back side to allow other accessories to be screwed on, such as a round plate, a rear handle or a shoulder strap.
