A completely waterproof USB plug!
This 100% waterproof plug is easy to install in the cockpit of any boat, and provides a secure connection for one or two standard USB cables (Type A), protecting the connections from moisture.
It's compatible with any cable fitted with a standard USB plug, including our waterproof Lightning aiShell cables.
How it works :
Watertightness is ensured by a cover that presses the cable(s) against a rubberized part whose shape prevents water from rising up. The whole unit remains watertight even in the absence of cables.
Two female USB connectors share a maximum total current of 4.2A, so you can simultaneously charge two iPads with Lightning plugs (note: for recent USB-C iPads, this plug is also available in USB-C version).
Mounting is via a standard-sized barrel (30mm hole - max. thickness 25mm) held in place by a locknut. An additional screw compresses a seal at this point, preventing rotation of the plug.
Please note: no cable is supplied, so you'll need to do your own wiring to the 12V mains, preferably with fuse protection.
