Keep your iPad charged, even outdoors!
The waterproof aiShell Lightning cable features Apple's Lightning connector with an overmolding tocompletely seal your iPad's power plug. It only fits Andres Industries' aiShell hard cases for iPad with Lightning connector. (Please note that there is another model of cable for aiShell iPad cases with USB-C connector).
This cable is particularly useful where there's a risk of humidity (boat, ULM, etc.), but also where there's exposure to dust, mud, snow, etc. (4x4, quad, snowmobile, etc.).
At the other end, this cable has a standard USB connector (type A) which is not waterproof and must be protected when used outdoors. For this reason, we recommend using the waterproof Scanstrut plug, whose cover traps this connector in a perfectly watertight fashion (see our plug + cable kit)
Of course, you can also use this cable with any USB power supply, including an Apple original charger, or any iPad-compatible USB charger.
This cable is available in 1 or 2m lengths. If required, a standard USB type A extension cable can also be used. The USB junction between the waterproof cable and the extension can be sealed with a heat-shrink sleeve. (read our feature"Charging your iPad safely outdoors")
